Description
 The
national hui chun (spring couplet writing) competition is one
of the most spectacular Chinese New Year celebration events in
Singapore. Each year more than one thousand calligraphers of all
ages would gather at the field in front of the People's Association
Headquarters to write festive phrases with brushes on red paper
using ink and have their works judged by internationally acclaimed
calligraphers.
