Description
This
is a colourful and fun event where anything goes. Anything that can
be recycled that is - plastic bottles, cans, bamboo, coconuts, tyres,
brooms, rickety furniture - can be used to build rafts.
Participants, mostly youths from tertiary institutions, schools and
international school paddle their quirky rafts along the 100-metre
course on the Singapore River at Clarke Quay. They compete for two
titles: the Fastest Raft and most Innovative Raft.
